Creative Engineer / Marketing Director / Project Manager / Graphic Designer / Event Planner
After growing up in the Capital Region, Mike crashed the Big Apple for seven years of publication design and art direction. The journey began with Sports Illustrated, where he had the honor of designing his celebrity idol Michael Jordan’s Career In Pictures commemorative issue and won national design awards. Many publishing giants and large companies shaped his portfolio and early career path in New York City and Tampa, Florida.
In 2005, Mike returned to his hometown with a goal to bring a big city vibe to his design work, collaborative projects and events. He has always wanted to prove that an underdog small town venture can step up and compete with highly publicized brands, even without the proper funding. In addition to his full-time and freelance work, Mike has devoted a lot of time leading Upstate NY collaborations of all sizes as a Project Manager and Creative Director. In a small market, it was often for the love of art and networking, while getting to showcase the work of his own and fellow creatives. Mike currently donates his services to non-profits and a few charities, such as the Albany Center Gallery and Ronald McDonald House Charities annual featured event The Masquerade.
To date, Mike has worked in the design, publishing and marketing industries for twenty-two years. Here is a list of Mike's employers, contracted work, clients, charities and non-profit.
